Characteristics and Applications

VC-1FG is a sulfonium salt type photoacid generator with high sensitivity to i-line, which is a special grade unique to our company, and is even more sensitive to i-line than the CPI-300 series.
The anion structure is our uniquely designed special anion (FG), which exhibits high cationic polymerization. It also has excellent low metal corrosion of cured materials and low coloration when heated at high temperatures.
VC-1FG is a solvent-free powder product.

  • Regarding absorbed wavelengths
    The i-line (365 nm) has a large absorption with a molar extinction coefficient of about 12,000 [M-1 cm-1], while the h-line (405 nm) and g-line (436 nm) have no absorption.It is suitable for materials that require high transparency in the visible light range while increasing the photosensitivity to i-line.
  • Characteristics of FG (special anion)
    It has high acid strength and reactivity equivalent to HSbF6. In addition, corrosion of peripheral members and coloring during heat curing can be suppressed.
  • Regarding different types of acids generated
    We have various development results. If you have an anion that you are interested in, please feel free to contact us.
  • Recommended amount of additive
    Add about 0.5 to 2 wt% to the resin, depending on the application and film thickness.
