Characteristics and Applications

This is a powder-type latent heat base generator. It softens at approximately 137℃, and is a phenol novolac resin salt (30%) of DBU with activity.

Regarding the application

It is used as an epoxy curing accelerator for encapsulants for various electronic materials.
About latent heat catalysts

It melts at a softening point of about 137°C and exhibits catalytic activity.
Solubility

It is poorly soluble in solvents and soluble in DMF and pyridine.
Differences from U-CAT SA831 and 851

Since the DBU content is different, the softening point will change slightly. The softening points for each product number are as follows. You can select according to your resin system.
Softening point ⇒ U-CAT SA831: Approx. 115 ℃, U-CAT SA841: Approx. 137 ℃, U-CAT SA851: Approx. 126 ℃
