Characteristics and Applications

U-CAT SA506 is a latent heat base generator. It is a p-toluenesulfonate salt of DBU, which is active at approximately 160℃.

U-CAT SA506 Structure
  • Regarding the application
    It is used as urethane catalysts and epoxy curing accelerators.
  • About latent heat catalysts
    It is a high temperature type in which DBU dissociates at about 160 °C and exhibits catalytic activity.
  • Solubility
    It dissolves in alcohol (methanol).
  • Regarding the Residual p-Toluenesulfonic Acid
    It remains in the resin after the reaction.
