Characteristics and Applications

U-CAT 5002 is a latent heat base generator.
It is a tetraphenylborate salt of DBU benzyl derivative.

Regarding the application

An epoxy curing accelerator for acid anhydride curing systems, which has excellent solubility in curing agents. It also has excellent pot life around 100 °C.
About latent heat catalysts

It exhibits catalytic activity at about 130-150 °C. The melting point is about 130 °C
Solubility in hardener

It has very good solubility in general acid anhydrides and phenol novolacs.
