A Thermal Acid Generator (TAG) is a substance that generates acid when heated. The most common type is the onium salt type, which is used in curing adhesives and coatings for electronic and optical materials. We are also focusing on developing PFAS-free products that are kind to the environment, and providing new applications and functions.
Heat Acid Generator: Overview and Function Map (by product)
The TA series is a sulfonium salt-type thermal acid generator that can initiate reactions at low temperatures, and boasts high solubility and reactivity. It is widely used in the processing of precision electronic and optical materials, and contributes to the improvement of cured material quality.
▶TA-100The IK Series is a line of iodonium salt-type thermal acid generators that effectively initiate curing reactions at high temperatures. This series also includes a PFAS-free lineup that complies with environmental regulations, and it demonstrates high heat resistance. Among them, IK-1FG is particularly effective at suppressing the discoloration of cured materials.
▶IK-1The AA Series is an ammonium salt-type thermal acid generator that can initiate reactions at low temperatures and shows high reactivity. It is also a PFAS-free compound and has excellent storage stability compared to sulfonium salt-type compounds.

We provide support for product development by offering product characteristics, data and technical information to solve the challenges faced by product developers and researchers.
In recent years, there has been a worldwide tightening of regulations on per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), and we are focusing on the development of PFAS-free products to ensure that our customers can use them with peace of mind. Please also make use of our existing lineup of PFAS-free products.
